The University of Washington is planning a new behavioral health clinic and teaching facility on the UW Medical Center Northwest campus in Seattle.
Located adjacent to an existing acute care hospital, the six-story, 184,000-square-foot building will feature a crisis stabilization unit, 50 medical/surgical beds, and separate service and public skybridges connecting to the hospital’s emergency department.
A full continuum of clinical services as well as medical and surgical care for individuals with behavioral health disorders will be provided. The facility will also serve as an interdisciplinary training and workforce development facility. The ground-level will house public-facing amenities such as indoor and outdoor dining and conference rooms.
The design-build team comprises SRG Partnership (architect; Portland, Ore., and Seattle) and Clark | Abbott Joint Venture (contractor; Seattle).
The behavioral health clinic is scheduled to open in late 2023.
