Interviewer:
There is so much to talk about CH2O and its various products and services. Your company offers various services for water treatment. However, we would like to focus on your most revolutionary water treatment system, the Sure Flow. What is this system?
Carl Iverson:
As you may be aware, low-flow irrigation systems are one of the best irrigation systems in the world. People think they are perfect, but they are often beaten by microorganisms. When it comes to irrigation, the most important thing is to make sure the water you are using for irrigation is clean. A huge number of plant diseases spread through water. That’s why we made the Sure Flow system to help farmers grow healthy plants. It is an oxidizer-chelant combination that kills microorganisms on contact. The low-flow irrigation systems are really good, but they are also subject to clogging. Our Sure Flow system solves the clogging issue as well.
Interviewer:
Does the Sure Flow System works only for low-flow irrigation systems?
Carl Iverson:
No, it works for all sorts of water systems, including but not limited to canals, ponds, and storage tanks.
Interviewer:
Does Sure Flow control only bacteria?
Carl Iverson:
I am glad you asked. The goal of Sure Flow is to encourage a bio-clean environment. Bacteria aren’t the only problem. Sure Flow kills algae and slime, controls mollusks, and supports free-flowing drip and micro-misting irrigation systems. It also removes sulfides and odors in water systems.
Interviewer:
How is Sure Flow better than chlorine or other oxidants?
Carl Iverson:
In order to create a bio-clean environment, you have to be able to successfully penetrate the slime that protects biofilms. Biofilms basically protect communities of microorganisms. Chlorine and peroxide can’t effectively penetrate biofilms and, therefore, cannot help you successfully get rid of the microbes that are harming your plants. Chlorine dioxide, on the other hand, successfully penetrates biofilms and attacks microbes. Apart from that, Sure Flow starves biofilms of nutrients by making sure that the fertigated micro-metal nutrients are consumed only by the plants.
Interviewer:
What makes CH2O’S Sure Flow a unique system?
Carl Iverson
We don’t use just chlorine dioxide to disinfect water. The problem is, if you use only oxidizers, you will end up with precipitates in your water that will clog your irrigation, and it will also deprive the plants of valuable and essential nutrients. CH2O, INC. invented a unique solution to this problem, protected by multiple U.S. and international patents. We use a chelant that helps keep bonds to the mineral ions in the water and forms a soluble complex, making sure that the minerals are available to the plants.
Apart from that, it also solves the precipitation problem because the chelated mineral forms amorphous deposits when the water evaporates at the emitter tip. These amorphous deposits are easily washed away during the next irrigation cycle. In this way, Sure Flow is a unique product that provides fungus and microbial control while preventing undesirable crystalline mineral structures at the same time.
Interviewer:
Sure Flow is clearly a highly efficient product. We would like to know how much it benefits farmers and cultivators in terms of costs.
Carl Iverson:
Let’s put this into perspective. Let me tell you about a premium cannabis supplier called Riverview Farms. They source their irrigation water from a 750-foot well. They were facing the same issue we discussed earlier. Their old pipes were filled with decades of biofilms. The cleaning cost them was around $700 per load. With the help of Sure Flow, we were able to not only improve their water quality but allow the low-flow irrigation system to function as designed, which reduced their fertilizer and nutrient costs by up to 75 percent. Before that, Riverview Farms used to spend up to 100 hours a month cleaning their water filters and emitters. With the help of Sure Flow, we were able to successfully reduce that to 8 hours a month.
