There are growing fears that the latest outbreak of Ebola in Uganda could spread to neighbouring countries such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Unlike the 2014 West African outbreak of Ebola and the 2018 outbreak in the DRC, this epidemic has been caused by the Sudan variant of the virus, which currently has no effective treatment or vaccine.
