Northside Hospital Submits CON Application For Tower Addition

Northside Hospital Gwinett in Lawrenceville, Ga., filed a certificate of need (CON) application to add seven more floors to its current 10-story patient tower project on its campus in Lawrenceville.

The proposed expansion would add 375,929 square feet and 146 additional inpatient rooms, bringing the hospital’s total inpatient capacity to 696 beds.

The project team for the Northside Hospital Gwinnett tower includes Perkins&Will (architect; Chicago), HLGstudio (interior designer; Atlanta), and Batson-Cook Construction (general contractor; West Point, Ga.).

In addition to the patient tower, the hospital is also adding a 143,828-square-foot medical office building (MOB) with outpatient imaging, ambulatory surgery, and physician practices. The MOB is expected to be completed by 2025.
