Select Medical Building Specialty Hospital In Florida


Healthcare operator Select Medical (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) is planning to build Select Specialty Hospital in Orlando, Fla.

The 63-bed hospital, scheduled to open in late 2024, will include treatment for patients recovering from chronic conditions, stroke and other neurological disorders, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic conditions.

Select Medical currently operates two critical illness recovery hospitals licensed as long-term acute care in Orlando. It also has 11 critical illness recovery hospitals and three inpatient rehabilitation hospitals throughout Florida.
