UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital Plans $1.5 Billion Campus Expansion In Oakland, California

UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital is planning a $1.5 billion expansion on its campus in Oakland, Calif., according to the website bizjournals.com.

The project will demolish two buildings on campus that are not compliant with the state’s seismic regulations to make way for a new eight-story, 330,000-square-foot building.

The addition will include an emergency department (ED), operating rooms (ORs), and a behavioral health unit.

Construction is slated for completion in 2030.
