MetroHealth (Cleveland) celebrated the opening of a new helipad on the roof of MetroHealth’s critical care pavilion.
The structure is part of the organization’s $1 billion transformation of the main campus in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood.
The helipad features technologies that automatically remove snow and ice and is engineered to reduce the impact of noise and vibration for patients and caregivers inside the hospital. It also provides quick access to the pavilion’s emergency department, trauma bays, and operating rooms.
The healthcare organization partners with medical transportation provider Promedica (Toledo, Ohio) for air medical transport services.
MetroHealth was recently named to Healthcare Design’s HCD 10 as Outstanding Organization. Read more here.
