Taylor Swift is bringing mothers and daughters closer together.
Last week, an emotional “single mom” took to TikTok to express how much the Blank Space singer has helped bring her and her 9-year-old daughter together. The fan, whose TikTok name is @saywhaaatt1, explained in the video she’s the same age as Taylor — and has grown up with the singer’s music. And now, her daughter is doing the same.

Explaining her little one has “taken over the reins as number one Swiftie” in the house, the mom revealed how Taylor’s music has already helped her daughter get through a lot. She noted that this year, the two saw the 34-year-old perform on her Eras Tour, and then went to see the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie in theaters… FIVE times! And then when it became available to rent, the two made a movie night event out of it — with pizza. Sounds awesome!
Suffice to say, Taylor has helped provide a lot of bonding time for the mother-daughter duo… The TikToker explained in the video:
“Earlier today we were talking about how good this year has been, and [my daughter] was like, ‘Mom, I’ve had more fun with you this year than ever before.’”
She continued, while talking directly to the pop star:
“For my daughter to sit there and say, ‘I’ve had the best year with you.’ I’m a single mom. I work every day. That means so much to me, even more than my love for you. I didn’t think [my love for you] could get more, but hearing that come from my daughter’s mouth, girl, I will take a bullet for you.”
She added through tears:
“I just wanted you to know that you have changed my mom-heart and have brought my daughter and I closer together.”

The singer wrote in the comments:
“You just reminded me of why this year has been so special. I’m so moved by what you said. It reminds me of me and my mom and the memories we made at that age.”
