Houston Methodist Hospital In The Texas Medical Center Breaks Ground On Tower

Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center broke ground on the $1.4 billion Centennial Tower in Houston.

The 29-story project, scheduled to open in 2027, will add 382 private inpatient beds and an expanded emergency department  and will offer advanced neuro- and cardiovascular-surgical capabilities.

The diagnostic and treatment platform will include 19 operating rooms (ORs), imaging, and interventional radiology collocated to consolidate and lessen patient movement. A green roof on the 14th floor is also planned.

Architecture and engineering firm EYP (Houston) is the architect of record for the project.
