The cartoon, which LeMan insists was misinterpreted and meant to highlight the suffering of a Muslim man killed in Israeli attacks, showed two figures shaking hands in the sky while missiles flew below, symbolizing peace amidst conflict. Turkish officials condemned the cartoon, and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said “those who insult the Prophet and other messengers will be held accountable before the law.”
