Britney Spears’ DUI Arrest: Sources Claim She Had Adderall In Her Possession – Here’s Why She Could Face Jail Time Now!

Concerning new details are emerging about what police allegedly found in Britney Spears‘ car at the time of her DUI.

As you know, the singer was arrested for driving under the influence on Wednesday night. Cops claim they pulled her over after witnessing her swerving in and out of lanes while speeding. She reportedly told officers she only had “one single mimosa in the afternoon” and told people her blood alcohol content was only .06, below the California legal limit of .08. However, it’s still an offense for driving erratically, which she allegedly was. And she could be in more legal trouble due to what they found in her car.

We later learned cops allegedly discovered an “unknown substance” inside. The California Highway Patrol then confirmed police took Britney into custody for “driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol.” There weren’t many details about the “substance” since the results of the tests are pending. However, sources familiar with the situation are now claiming to TMZ on Friday that Britney had pills in her possession at the time of her arrest, specifically, they believe, Adderall. Whoa.

According to the insiders, the pop star got the medication while in Mexico recently. We know Brit loves to vacation in the country — but the sources alleged that one of the reasons she goes down there so frequently is to get the drug. At this time, the sources said the pills will be tested to determine if they contain pure Adderall or an additional substance. TMZ pointed out that certain drugs obtained in Mexico sometimes are laced with fentanyl, cocaine, meth, or other substances.

As we previously reported, Britney’s friends want the judge to rule that she get treatment instead of jail time. They really want her to get help. Her manager, Cade Hudson, even expressed hope that “this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” and her loved ones “are going to come up with a” plan to get her on the right path again. This is her first DUI, so avoiding jail time normally would be possible. Judges typically will not make a first-time DUI offender serve time. However, if the drugs in her system contain serious levels of narcotics, the judge may order her to spend time behind bars. Uh oh.

Again, we stress that nothing from the new report has been confirmed by law enforcement or Britney herself. The results of the tests on the alleged substance also haven’t been released. Take it all with a grain of salt for now, but we’ll keep you posted if anything changes.
