We have an update on how Celeste Rivas’ family is doing in the wake of the teen’s murder.
On Tuesday, defense attorneys and prosecutors met in Los Angeles court to discuss the looming trial of D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, who was charged in April with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a child under 14, and unlawful mutilation of human remains in the case of slain teen Celeste Rivas. As we’ve been following, a hearing is set to begin later this month on July 21… and in the lead up, the Rivas family is trying to hang in there.

TMZ caught up with leading prosecutor Beth Silverman ahead of the status hearing on Tuesday and asked how Celeste’s family is doing amid the ongoing situation. She dished:
“They’re doing as well as possible, thanks for asking.”
The legal eagle kept quiet when asked what sort of justice she hopes to see come of the case, but we’re just glad to hear the Rivas family are hanging in there as best they can…
