Jenny McCarthy Reveals Unsettling Story From Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes’ Wedding Two Decades Ago!

Talk about a wedding guest experience that sounds straight out of a psychological thriller!

Jenny McCarthy is spilling some seriously unsettling tea about Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and their 2006 wedding, claiming the Hollywood superstar once tried to recruit her into Scientology. And according to Jenny, one specific encounter involving then-newborn baby Suri left her absolutely terrified!

During Thursday’s new episode of The Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg Show, the Masked Singer judge chatted with former Scientologist Anne Gollert Hill about her alleged experiences with the controversial religion. During the pod, Jenny recalled attending Cruise and Holmes’ rehearsal dinner while dating Jim Carrey:

“I went to the rehearsal dinner and because I was with Jim, I sat literally across from Tom and Katie… She just had her baby and we’re having dinner and, all of a sudden, I see the nanny bring out the baby [Suri] over to Katie.”

So far, so normal, right?

WRONG! When Jenny asked if she could hold the couple’s little girl, she claims the atmosphere turned downright creepy:

“It looked like Rosemary’s Baby. I got the Scientology stare.”

Ummm, WHAT?!

Imagine asking to cuddle an adorable baby and suddenly feeling like everyone in the room is silently judging your every move!

Jenny continued describing the bizarre moment, saying:

“Katie slowly passed the baby and I just went, ‘Hi baby,’ because no one was speaking anymore. And then once I gave her back the baby, it’s like everyone went back to their conversations. I thought to myself, ‘OK, I am in the belly of the beast right now’… I’ve never been so scared in my life.”

Yikes! That is certainly not the warm, fuzzy wedding memory anyone would hope to take home!

But wait, there’s MORE! Jenny also recalled meeting David Miscavige, the leader of the Church of Scientology, after Cruise introduced him as his best man. And apparently, she wasn’t afraid to crack a joke:

“I go, ‘Haha you got picked, congratulations,’ which made it sound demeaning. He did not like that and I loved every second of it. … Tom [laughed], trying to cover up the uncomfortable moment.”

Jenny also remembered Miscavige delivering a 30-minute speech during the wedding ceremony, saying:

“I was watching Katie’s face of just, like, trying to smile and get through it.”

The actress and Carrey reportedly spent time with Cruise and Holmes after the couple tied the knot at an Italian castle in November 2006, too. Jenny claims she even checked in privately with Holmes during that time, who she felt seemed increasingly different as the marriage progressed:

“They would come over to our house and I would pull her off to the side and be like, ‘You good, girl? Do you need any help?’ … and at that time she looked like a deer in headlights. During the wedding part, she still seemed like Katie. Into the marriage, she seemed like [there was a] shift in her.”

Holmes filed for divorce in 2012 after five years of marriage. Cruise had previously been married to Nicole Kidman, with whom he shares two children, and Mimi Rogers.

And the Scientology recruitment claims don’t stop with Jenny! She also alleged that Carrey told her Cruise had repeatedly tried to get him involved in the religion, too:

“There was a few times where Tom would call Jim and say, ‘Hey, why don’t you guys come to our Aspen house.’ Jim was like ‘We can’t go. They’re just going to try to lure us in.’ He goes, ‘they’ve already tried with him before and he turned them down, but they are always trying.’”

Whoa…!

What a wedding weekend to remember, apparently!
