Nonprofit health system MetroHealth System has completed the $759 million The Glick Center replacement hospital in Cleveland.
Part of a $946 million campus transformation, the 11-story acute care inpatient tower houses 316 private patient rooms with bathrooms, sleeping areas for family members, and digital whiteboards that display remote communications and patient care plans. Interventional procedure rooms, a cardiac catheterization lab, endoscopy procedure rooms, family kitchen, meditation area, café, and gift shop are also part of the project.
The Glick Center is situated in the nation’s first EcoDistrict anchored by a healthcare system, a collaborative effort that focuses on health equity and community well-being in Cleveland’s Clark-Fulton neighborhood, which MetroHealth System has served for 150 years. The health system’s campus plan emphasizes diversity, population health, and research-based care.
The design team includes HGA (planning, architecture, and interior designer; Minneapolis).
