University Of Iowa Hospitals And Clinics To Expand Inpatient Tower


University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics (Iowa City, Iowa) is adding two floors to its eight-story John Pappajohn Pavilion inpatient tower. The project is part of a 10-year renovation project, according to the website thegazette.com.

The $95 million project will add 38,000 square feet. The new ninth floor will house a 24-bed intensive care unit, and the 10th floor will serve as a mechanical penthouse for the tower.

Construction is slated to begin in 2023.

Additionally, the seventh and eight floors will be renovated for obstetrics services with inpatient beds.
