Mimi Sashimi is New Jersey’s Japanese Theatre Princess. Her career started in 2018 and she has been making a name for herself as a local drag artist. But with big aspirations she has a dream to own her own theatre company, where she can produce drag centered plays and musicals. She already has been sewing since the age of 12 and makes 99 percent of her costumes. Proud of her Japanese culture she wants to bring awareness of Asian queer representation to the LGBTQ community. Their debut film “His Cinderella Story” is a personal twist on a beloved fairytale, where the character Matthew James is a theatre student with dreams of stardom in a small town. An encounter at a campus formal changes his life.
