Taylor Swift is getting dragged into the Euphoria cast drama — and it all ties back to Scooter Braun! Surprise, surprise…
As we’re sure you know, Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney have been at odds for a while now. From rumors of them butting heads in a bitter feud that left them refusing to talk to each other, to them completely avoiding each other on the red carpet… It’s not looking good for the Rue and Cassie fans that want these ladies to get along! And now, Syd’s new beau is just adding more layers to the rift.
Of course, the 28-year-old actress has been dating Scooter for a little bit now, with them most recently sharing some PDA at the Euphoria season three premiere.
And with Zendaya being an avid Tay defender, and also her good friend… Well, it’s no shock that she might not like the fact that the record exec is around!
An industry source dished to RadarOnline on Friday:
“What might have remained a fairly routine bit of behind-the-scenes tension has taken on a much sharper edge because of the history between Taylor Swift and Scooter Braun. That dispute still carries a lot of emotional weight in the industry, and people haven’t forgotten where everyone stood. Zendaya has long been very openly supportive of Taylor, and that kind of allegiance tends to stick.”

The insider continued:
“It’s not something that gets said outright, but it absolutely informs how she views anyone closely connected to Braun. In a situation like this, those past loyalties quietly shape present dynamics in a way that makes everything feel more charged than it otherwise would be.”
The source claimed that even though the masters controversy between Taylor and Scooter isn’t a hot topic in the headlines anymore — the industry never forgets. And that very much includes Zendaya:
“In reality, the industry never really moved on from that fallout – it just became less openly discussed. Privately, people still have very firm loyalties, even if they’re not broadcasting them. Zendaya’s position has never been ambiguous – she’s consistently shown where she stands when it comes to Taylor.”
Ultimately, the insider said Sydney getting with Scooter after her career was already suffering is NOT a good look:
“That kind of clarity doesn’t go unnoticed in Hollywood, and it inevitably influences how she navigates relationships with anyone tied to the other side of that history, including with Sydney.”
Yeah… It’s understandable why Z would feel that way. We mean, she’s a girls’ girl, she’s not gonna turn her back on her longtime pal!
