MAGA lived through Trump, and they felt like they were winning by supporting him. Even though reports have been going around for years that Trump despised his own supporters and felt that they were bad-looking, poorly dressed, and did not want them close to him, Trump supporters continued to think that the president was their fighter.
Everything changed when Trump returned to the White House and started targeting his supporters for deportation and cut programs that his supporters rely on, like Medicaid and SNAP.
Trump’s tariffs, trade war, and real war with Iran increased inflation and caused prices to skyrocket.
Trump was harming them, and very slowly, Trump’s own base has started to get the message and lose faith in him.
Most of MAGA remains in his corner, but the number of self-identified MAGAs continues to drop.
One of the main reasons for this drop is that Trump has caused a great deal of economic pain with his policies and has shown zero sympathy for what the American people, including his own supporters, are going through.
